Here you’ll enjoy two nights exploring cobbled streets, colourful facades, and rooftop views of the Panama skyline. As a welcome treat, you’ll dine at the elegant Casablanca Restaurant, enjoying a delicious 3-course meal paired with a glass of wine or beer – setting the tone for the incredible experience ahead.
After your city escape, you’ll be transferred to the wave-rich haven of Santa Catalina, Panama’s most iconic surf town. This laid-back village on the Pacific coast offers warm water, consistent waves, and a welcoming surf scene perfect for first-timers. Your home here is Hotel Villa Coco, a boutique tropical retreat with lush gardens, a relaxed pool area, and comfortable rooms just minutes from the beach. With half board included, you’ll enjoy fresh breakfasts and nourishing dinners each day to keep your energy up for the waves.
Over the next five days, you’ll dive into daily beginner surf lessons (90 minutes each) with expert instructors who’ll guide you through every step – from paddling and popping up, to catching your first clean ride. All surf equipment is included, and the gentle reef and beach breaks of Santa Catalina make it an ideal training ground for learning safely and confidently. With afternoons free, you’ll have time to explore the area, relax by the pool, or take part in optional excursions like boat trips to Coiba Island or snorkelling in the surrounding marine park.
After a week of surfing and sun, you’ll return to Panama City for a final night in Casco Viejo, where you can soak in the last flavours and sights of this fascinating country. By the end of the trip, you won’t just have learned to surf – you’ll have connected with a whole new lifestyle.
